Over the years we have seen a rise in social media which has created a new form of celebrities. These celebrities are called influencers, they are individuals who gather a large number of followers by sharing their experiences, thoughts, and recommendations. Due to this brands noticed the power influences have and use them to promote their products. When brands begin to partner with influencers, they can promote their product to a different audience and potentially reach millions of people who follow that influencer’s recommendations.

Influencers have power which is the ability to connect with their followers compared to traditional advertising cannot. The reason for this is that influencers are seen as authentic and relatable to their followers, who view them as friends rather than a salesperson. Due to this an influencer's followers are more likely to trust and believe in the product’s benefits. Since influencers have been proven to have a great impact, which has led them to be part of many brands' marketing strategies.
